Reviews

There are not enough words to describe the amount of gratitude and appreciation my husband and I feel for Fiona. My husband and I met Fiona during our first pregnancy and we will never get over how blessed we feel to have had her as our midwife. The moment we met Fiona, we could instantly feel her calming and supportive energy, as well as her passion for the amazing work she does. Fiona made us feel so safe, so cared for, and so empowered throughout our entire experience. Anytime we would call Fiona, or ask her a million questions at our appointments, she never made us feel silly or as if we were a bother, but rather validated us and guided us lovingly through it all with her immense knowledge and care. We will never be able to thank Fiona enough for everything she did for us in our journey of bringing our sweet baby earth side.

My midwife was Fiona and she is truly an angel on Earth. She is professional and respectful, and her warm personality makes it so easy to open up and be yourself. We created a FRIENDSHIP during our time together. I trusted her wholeheartedly with my prenatal care, and to attend my birth. When things felt frightening, she helped me feel safe and secure.

Fiona took me in halfway through my third pregnancy, and I’m so thankful she was available! She made our visits feel peaceful and helped me feel prepped and excited for my first home birth. I looked forward to our appointments each time! Her team of Midwives are also lovely and I would’ve been comfortable with any of them at the birth. After baby arrived, I was encouraged to just BE with him. Fiona made me feel secure in allowing myself to do nothing but recover and cherish this time. It also meant a lot to me that they cleaned everything up despite it being past midnight. It was a wonderful surprise and I felt totally cared for.

I had Fiona as my midwife and she truly made me feel so comfortable. Every appointment felt like a visit with a friend. I enjoyed going to my appointments and did not ever feel dismissed.

About the Midwife

My journey to midwifery began long before I ever attended my first birth. I was born at home myself, the sixth of eleven children, and grew up witnessing the beauty of family, pregnancy, and new life in a deeply personal way. Those early experiences planted a seed in my heart, and by the time I was 16, I knew I was being called to serve women and families as a midwife.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes! Please fill out the form on the contact page and I will be in touch. Currently, I am accepting due dates after January 1st, 2027.

Do you attend VBAC's? (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean).

Yes! I have a considerable amount of experience caring for VBAC moms and am very comfortable taking them on as clients.

Do you offer water births?

Yes! I offer water births. I will supply the birth tub and liner. I ask that families purchase their own hose and adaptor.

Can you do labs and ultrasounds?

Labs are done in-office and ultrasounds are ordered out.

I just found out I'm pregnant-when should I reach out to inquire about services?

Congratulations! The earlier the better so I can make sure we have time to discuss your birth plans, prenatal care, and postpartum options.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not take insurance, but you can use HSA and FSA payment methods.

Is home birth safe?

There are many studies indicating that for low-risk pregnancies, home birth with a qualified midwife leads to fewer interventions and is a safe option. If you are hesitant about a home birth, please reach out and I can help you decide if home birth is the right option for you!

What if there is an emergency?

Certified Professional Midwives are trained in risk prevention and to manage emergency situations. I bring emergency equipment such as oxygen, resuscitation equipment, and anti-hemorrhage medication to every high. I follow protocols for transferring care to the nearest hospital when indicated.

How much do your services cost?

My cost is $6500.00. This includes prenatal care, supplies, standard labs, appointments, and labor + delivery. A more detailed price breakdown can be provided upon request.

Payments are made throughout prenatal care and due in full at 36 weeks.
